Need a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread or the makings of a gourmet meal? If you live in the Pico neighborhood of Santa Monica, soon you won’t have to drive across town to shop.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled last week that the Arboretum Developers Limited Partnership can build a $5-million Ralphs supermarket on a site at Olympic and Cloverfield boulevards, across the street from the Water Garden office complex.
Developers of the Water Garden had sued to block the project, claiming that the proposed supermarket violates state environmental laws because the developer did not conduct appropriate environmental reviews.
