OXNARD : Teen-Ager Recovering After Stabbing

A 17-year-old Oxnard resident was in stable condition Tuesday at St. John’s Regional Medical Center after being stabbed at The Esplanade mall.
The teen-ager, whose name was not released by authorities, had walked into the mall at about 6 p.m. Monday when he and his brother were approached by six other teen-agers challenging them to a fight, Oxnard police said.
The victim and his brother were attacked by the six teen-agers, who fled when mall security approached, police said.
