GLENDALE — Two 16-year-old boys and a man have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of another youth, police said Sunday.
The 17-year-old was pronounced dead at 3 p.m. Saturday at County-USC Medical Center after he was found shot in the head in the 300 block of East Cypress Street early that morning, Glendale Police Sgt. Richard Navarro said.
Jaime Escobedo, 21, of Glendale and the two teen-agers were arrested on suspicion of murder. Escobedo is being held at the Glendale City Jail with no bail, and the juveniles were sent to Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall in Downey, Navarro said.
All three are believed to be gang members, police said.
