MISSION VIEJO — Orange County fire officials Wednesday said they are eager to talk with anyone who witnessed the early stages of a fire that burned 10 acres near O’Neill Regional Park on Tuesday.
Fire Authority spokeswoman Emmy Day said investigators have ruled out power lines as a cause of the 3 p.m. blaze near Olympiad Road and Escatron.
Seventy-five firefighters battled the brush fire.
“If someone was responsible for it, we’d sure like to know. We go after cost recovery,” Day said. “We would like to hear from anyone who was around at the beginning of the fire.”
Anyone with information should call (714) 744-0514.
