La Habra 40, Whittier Christian 14--Jon Marshall threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns, completing six of eight attempts, for visiting La Habra (1-1).
After Whittier Christian (0-2) closed the gap, 7-6, the Highlanders scored 33 unanswered points to run away with the victory.
Chris Lerma rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns in six carries and also caught one pass for 67 yards and a third touchdown.
In eight-man football:
Heritage Christian 18, Riverside Christian 6--Jared Zielinski rushed for 106 yards in 17 carries, including a touchdown, to lead Heritage Christian (2-0) to the nonleague victory over top-ranked Riverside Christian (1-1).
Kevin Coke had 18 tackles for Heritage Christian.
