Mother, Daughter Injured in Crash

HUNTINGTON BEACH — A Huntington Beach woman and her 5-year-old daughter suffered serious head injuries Tuesday after their van collided with a truck, police said.
Sandra Elizondo, 34, was driving south on Golden West Street and turning left onto Palm Street at 9:45 a.m. when the truck going north on Golden West collided with her, Lt. James Cutshaw said.
Elizondo and her daughter, Kimiko, both suffered trauma to the head and were later listed in critical condition.
