Nin Burns, a senior at Covina High, might be only 5 feet 9 and 175 pounds, but he’s receiving plenty of attention from college recruiters. A starting flanker and defensive back for the 2-0 Colts, Burns scored touchdowns on a 43-yard pass reception, 65-yard punt return and 98-yard kickoff return in a 34-8 victory over Covina Charter Oak last Friday. He also had nine tackles, a sack and an interception. A starter on the school’s basketball and baseball teams, Burns is also an honors student and is active member of the student government.
