Pinnacle Micro Inc.: The Irvine-based company said it has signed a deal under which its high-capacity data storage systems will be sold by Computer 2000 AG, Europe’s largest distributor of computer products. “We believe this partnership . . . will generate significant revenue for our international operations,” said Scott Blum, executive vice president of Pinnacle Micro. The 8-year-old company makes devices used primarily by businesses and government agencies for storing large amounts of computer data.
Pinnacle Micro’s products are already available in Europe, but a spokeswoman said the company’s presence in Europe will be boosted dramatically by the deal with Computer 2000, a Munich, Germany-based company with subsidiaries in 29 countries and reported sales of $2.6 billion in fiscal 1994. Pinnacle Micro reported sales of $65 million last year, with international sales accounting for 30% of the company’s revenue.
