SEASON AT A GLANCE: Broussard, a preseason All-American defensive back, delivers fierce hits in addition to blanketing receivers. Offensively, the 6-foot, 185-pound Broussard started slowly, rushing for only 20 yards in 10 carries in Royal’s first two games, both losses.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Broussard finally broke loose at tailback, rushing for 196 yards and two touchdowns in 29 carries during Royal’s 34-25 victory over Ventura. He also dominated on defense, making 13 unassisted tackles and intercepting two passes.
