Ducks Defeat Dallas, 8-2

There are still a few players fighting for jobs with the Mighty Ducks, and it looked as if they took the task literally during Wednesday night’s exhibition against the Dallas Stars at The Pond of Anaheim.

There were four fights during the Ducks’ 8-2 victory.

The eight goals scored by the Ducks in front of a paid crowd of 16,618 were the most in franchise history, exhibition game or not.

Paul Kariya had two goals and assisted rookie center Chad Kilger on another. Kariya, 20, leads the Ducks during the exhibition season with seven goals and five assists. Kilger, 18, is second with four goals and five assists.
