The Riverside Unified School District has agreed to pay UC Riverside a fee--believed to be between $3,000 and $5,000--so that fans at University Stadium can continue to park free for Riverside Poly and Riverside North games. . . . Karen Osterkamp has resigned as tennis coach at Corona Centennial after 11 years. She will continue to teach at the school and will pursue a credential in counseling at Azusa Pacific. . . . April Lyon of Sultana High set a sophomore course record at the Nogales-Foothill Invitational cross-country meet Saturday at Citrus College, 17 minutes 59 seconds. . . . Tennis player Laura Brams of Apple Valley has a 15-0 record in her singles matches. . . . Also from Apple Valley, cross-country runner Lindsay DuBose won the Citrus Belt League Preview Meet by nearly 200 yards, in 20:01. . . . Jeremy Lyon became the first Hesperia runner to go below 15 minutes for a three-mile cross-country race--14:59 at the Nogales-Foothill Invitational, good for third place in the boys’ senior division. Lyon (15:59) also won the Citrus Belt League preview meet last week. . . . Lucerne Valley’s top running back, Johnny Ballard, will miss the rest of the season because of a broken collarbone suffered in practice. Ballard had just come back from a neck injury.
