Woman, 78, Injured in Freeway Accident

A 78-year-old Camarillo woman was seriously injured Monday when her car went over the side of the northbound Ventura Freeway near Camarillo Springs Road.
Dorothy Skuro, who was in serious but stable condition Monday night at Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, was airlifted to the hospital by the Ventura County Fire Department.
It took authorities half an hour to extricate Skuro from the wreckage.
The California Highway Patrol closed the northbound lanes after the 1:44 p.m. accident so that a Fire Department helicopter could land to transport the victim to Los Robles.
