THOUSAND OAKS : Teen Center Planning New Year’s Eve Party

The Thousand Oaks Teen Center is planning a New Year’s Eve party for intermediate school students and is seeking help to plan and pay for the event.
The teen center advisory committee, affiliated with the Conejo Recreation and Park District, expects to draw as many as 500 youths to the party. Running from 8 p.m. to midnight, the event will offer dancing, special lighting, door prizes and party favors--but no alcohol.
The committee must pay for a disc jockey, a photo booth and sheriff’s deputies, as well as the food, drink and balloon drop at midnight. The center is at 1375 E. Janss Road.
