Worker Stabbed at Neiman Marcus Store

HOUSTON — A Neiman Marcus employee was stabbed by her former husband Tuesday at the checkout counter where she worked, then left for dead in a stockroom, police said.
After the attack, the man calmly walked out of the mall that includes the store and sat on a bench, where store security personnel arrested him, police said.
Donna Anthony, 36, was in guarded condition at a hospital Tuesday with a slashed throat and three wounds to the chest. Lonnie Ray Land was being questioned.
Anthony divorced Land several years ago. Police do not know what prompted the attack.
