Lloyd’s CEO Resigns: Lloyd’s of London, the insurance market that is reorganizing after years of losses, said Peter Middleton resigned as chief executive and that it named Ron Sandler, a director, to succeed him. Salomon Bros. announced separately that it appointed Middleton chief executive of European operations. A spokesman for Lloyd’s said Middleton’s decision to leave was his. He had been chief executive of the insurance market since September, 1992.
