VENTURA : VC Press Staff Wins 7 Journalism Awards

The Ventura College Press staff won seven awards last month in a Journalism Assn. of Community Colleges competition.
The VC Press won an honorable mention for general excellence at the conference held Oct. 28 at East Los Angeles College. About 350 people from more than 30 colleges attended the event.
Individual reporters and editors won the following: second-place awards for inside page design and news photography; and honorable mentions for line illustration, sports news photography, column writing and editorial writing.
The VC Press has been in publication for 70 years.
