Police arrested a 21-year-old Oxnard man Thursday morning after a barroom brawl in which he allegedly struck three people with a table, including two police officers.
Authorities booked Leovardo Olea into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Bail was set at $20,000.
Police said two officers were conducting a routine bar check shortly after midnight at the Harbor Lights on Peninsula Road in Oxnard when a fight broke out between the suspect and four security guards.
Police said the suspect picked up a bar table and hit Donald Woolard, a 25-year-old security guard from Ventura. The suspect then hurled a table at the two Oxnard police officers as they chased him down the stairs to a parking lot, authorities said. Police arrested the suspect as he attempted to drive off, authorities said.
The security guards, Enrique Hernandez, 40, and Steven Edward, 18, both of Oxnard; Ricardo Moreno, 26, of North Hollywood, and Woolard were all treated in area hospitals for minor injuries and released.
