PORT HUENEME : Water Agency Seeks Project Volunteers

The Port Hueneme Water Agency will host a recruitment meeting Wednesday for volunteers to help distribute information about a planned project to improve water quality.
The agency hopes to develop a citizen support team to distribute information about the project through speaking engagements as well as casual interaction with friends and neighbors.
The project involves the construction of several pipelines and a water treatment plant to combine improved ground water with higher-quality water provided by the state.
The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at Port Hueneme City Hall, 250 N. Ventura Road. For more information, call 488-3625.
