White House Christmas Card Depicts Blue Room

CLEVELAND — The First Family’s official Christmas card this year depicts a cozy White House Blue Room with a crackling fire, napping cat and dog and presents beneath a candle-decked tree.
American Greetings Corp. unveiled the White House card Friday. The design is by American artist Thomas McKnight. In the painting, star-spangled stockings on the mantel, a tropical floral centerpiece and a full moon shining through the window soften the formality of the Blue Room.
The verse reads: “Our family wishes you and yours a beautiful holiday season filled with the warmth of friends and loved ones and with the promise of a happy new year.”
