Albion W. Patterson, 91, who lived in Ojai for 25 years, died on Wednesday at a Santa Paula hospital.
Patterson was born June 11, 1904, in Springfield, Mass.
He was a pioneer in the U.S. Agency for International Development, an agency that channels American aid to the health, education and energy needs of developing nations. Before moving to Ojai, Patterson had worked in Chile. He was a trustee of the Krishnamurti Foundation.
Patterson is survived by a son, Phillip A. Patterson, of Vail, Colo.; and a sister, Luella Ely Atsatt, of Ojai.
No services are planned.
