SAY GOOD NIGHT

Pat Boone’s not the only unlikely figure turning to hard rock for material. The Smashing Pumpkins’ “Farewell and Goodbye” has been turned into a lullaby for a Walt Disney Records collection of bedtime tunes called “Rock-a-Bye Baby.” Changed to “Farewell and Goodnight,” the song--already a sweet, sentimental number in its original version--is sung for this project by Toni Childs.
Other pop tunes lullabized include Amy Grant’s “Baby Baby” (sung by “Lion King” vocalist Lebo M), John Lennon’s “Beautiful Boy” (by David Pack) and new versions of appropriate Disney songs, including a Wild Colonials performance of “When You Wish Upon a Star.”
