Schools / Education news : Video Awards for Mitchell Elementary
- Share via
Kindergarten students at Mitchell Elementary School took tops honors recently in an international student media festival for a video they made showing creative ways to recycle paper bags.
The production, edited by teacher Marlene McConville, shows students using paper bags for animal costumes, parachutes and decorations for school plays.
The school’s sixth-graders, who wrote, taped and edited a documentary on racial prejudice, also took first place in their age group.
The contest was sponsored by the National Assn. for Educational Communications and Technology.
