Pac-10 Officials Arrive to Continue USC Probe

Pacific 10 Conference officials are in Los Angeles to continue their investigation of a controversial class at USC that was allegedly stacked with athletes by an academic advisor and in which work was done for a student-athlete, a USC spokesman said Tuesday.
USC and the NCAA officials say they will await the results of a Pac-10 inquiry, which is being assisted by Noel Ragsdale, the faculty athletic representative whose report caused the school to drop an investigation of the same class last fall. USC officials said the school has no plans for an internal probe and is satisfied to have an independent body handling the issue.
