It’s Showtime for Bluegill in San Diego Lakes

One of the Southland’s smallest game fish--the bluegill--is putting on a huge show at San Diego’s city lakes.
Fishermen at lakes El Capitan, Hodges, Otay, San Vicente and Sutherland landed nearly 6,000 of the scrappy panfish, which apparently can’t resist red worms, mealworms and crickets tossed their way.
