Super-heavyweight boxer Liadi Alhassan of Ghana mysteriously interrupted his training to apparently take an out-of-state trip.
Alhassan hitched a ride to a Greyhound bus station in Marietta, Ga., on Wednesday, then told the chef de mission of the Ghanian team by telephone that he wanted to visit a woman in New York but would return to the training camp by today. It was not thought to be a political asylum case.
