I applaud The Times’ decision to review music videos and particularly to call attention to pieces that might otherwise not receive well-deserved attention (Sound & Vision, by Lorraine Ali, July 21). I must question, however, the lack of mention of the directors behind these works.

It would be unthinkable to review a motion picture or a play without mention of the key creators. If you are reviewing the sound and the vision, you must give credit to both responsible parties.
