MAI Joins European Gaming Partnership

IRVINE — MAI Systems Corp. said Tuesday that its Gaming Systems International subsidiary will form a joint venture with Austrian gaming company Novomatic Industries to market GSI’s casino management systems, slot machine accounting and player tracking systems with Novomatic’s slot machines and table games.
The new company, GSI Europe, will market the products in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
Novomatic makes slot machines and other casino gaming equipment and operates 14 casinos worldwide.
Gaming Systems Chairman Roy Student will be a managing director of GSI Europe.
MAI installs and maintain information systems for the hospitality, gaming, distribution and manufacturing industries. The company designs and markets a variety of computer products.
