TRW Decides Not to Fight Jury Award: The company said it agreed to pay Talley Industries Inc. a $138-million jury award after deciding against additional challenges to the decision. Last week, the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco rejected Cleveland-based TRW Inc.’s request to reconsider the June 1995 award, which resulted from a Talley suit charging that TRW hadn’t paid royalties on sales of air bags made with Talley technology. TRW confirmed a Talley release saying TRW had paid $111.1 million of the award and agreed to release to the Phoenix-based company an additional $27.5 million being held in court.
