A Newbury Park man was having a snack at a Thousand Oaks doughnut shop Wednesday morning when a car slammed through the store’s front window and struck him.
Jack Miller, 40, was not seriously injured, but was taken to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
Miller was inside Foster’s Donuts in the 1300 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard about 8:30 a.m. when a car driven by Ann Papush, 53, of Chatsworth crashed into the shop.
For an unknown reason, Papush apparently accelerated while driving through the store’s parking lot and lost control of her car, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
Papush was not injured in the accident, which is still under investigation.
