Clinton Veto
* I read in The Times, buried inside (July 31), that President Clinton vetoed a bill that would have allowed employers to form caucus groups with employees. I don’t suppose that Clinton’s decision, in this election year, was swayed by the fact that labor unions opposed it. But Clinton, true to form, puts his pen where the votes are--with the labor unions and against business.
This is his 16th veto--sounds like “gridlock” to me. But of course, Clinton is a Democrat and for some reason they never get accused of that.
