SIMI VALLEY — Investigators are searching for a man who robbed a Simi Valley bank Wednesday morning and is suspected of robbing nine other banks in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
The suspect is described as a thin white man with brown hair, in his late 20s, 6 feet tall and wearing a blue baseball cap and sunglasses. He walked into the Coast Federal Bank at 1301 Los Angeles Ave. about 11:45 a.m., said FBI supervising Agent Gary Auer.
The man handed a bank teller a note demanding money, but showed no gun, Auer said.
After taking the cash, the man was last seen going out the north side of the bank and into the parking lot of Mountain Gate Plaza.
This is the 33rd bank robbery in Ventura County this year, Auer said.
