Postal Service OKs Package Restrictions

Reacting to growing concerns about mail bombs, the U.S. Postal Service said it is taking the extraordinary step of prohibiting customers from depositing any stamped packages weighing 16 ounces or more in its collection boxes. After Aug. 16 all such packages must be presented in person to a postal clerk or a letter carrier, the agency said.
