A 42-year-old Fullerton man was killed early Thursday when he fell off a freeway connector ramp and landed on the southbound Orange Freeway, where two cars hit him.
Authorities said the man, whose name was being withheld pending family notification, was entering the Orange Freeway from the Riverside Freeway when his car apparently hit the side rail about 1:40 a.m.
Investigators believe the man got out of his car to check the damage and lost his balance, falling about 60 feet into oncoming traffic on the southbound Orange Freeway, said Angel Johnson, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman.
