COMEBACK KIDS
Canyon is quickly becoming a team known for playing “48 minutes of football.” For the second week in a row, the Comanches pulled out a victory in the fourth quarter to remain the only undefeated Century League team.
The Comanches trailed Corona del Mar, 19-10, but scored 23 points in the final quarter to win, 33-19.
Last week in a 10-7 victory against Brea-Olinda, the Comanches were trailing at halftime, 7-0, and 7-3 after three quarters.
ON THE RECORD
‘It was nice to score, but it would’ve been nicer to win the game.’
--Eddie Steward, Santa Ana Valley’s first-year coach, who saw the Falcons score for the first time this season in a 31-7 loss to Saddleback.
