Organizers Looking for a Few Good Cars

Calling all cars--convertibles, that is.
City Recreation Director Ron Kenny is seeking convertible owners to drive dignitaries in the La Palma Days Parade on Nov. 11.
The annual event, with a parade route down Walker Street, begins at 9 a.m. and ends about noon.
The volunteers will drive city officials, celebrities and other guests down the one-mile parade route.
Each driver will receive a free breakfast and 11th Anniversary Commemorative La Palma Days mug.
The event will be televised on the local cable channel.
Convertible owners wishing to volunteer may call the La Palma Recreation and Community Services Department at (714) 522-6740.
