Sony Names Transition Team: As it continues negotiating final details to install new management at its troubled studio operation, Sony assigned two executives to oversee the operation in the interim. Executive Vice President Robert Wynne, a former lawyer recently recruited by the company, and executive Yuki Nozoe, a Sony executive in New York, were assigned by company Sony executive Ted Kawai to oversee the operation, according to a memo sent to senior executives. Levine was forced out earlier this week as part of an ongoing shake-up of Sony’s movie entertainment operations. Sony is expected to name United Artists President John Calley next week to oversee the film operations, most likely as part of a management structure that will also involve New York-based Sony executive Jeffrey Sagansky.
