SYNOPSIS: With just under five minutes left in the third quarter, Michael Culpepper scored on a five-yard run to break a scoreless tie in a conference game at Crenshaw (4-0).

SYNOPSIS: Carlos Garcia threw to tight end Ricardo Calderon for two touchdown passes and found Javier Perez on a 69-yard scoring pass to lift the Bulldogs (3-0).

SYNOPSIS: Larry Anglin scored on a seven-yard run and a 30-yard pass and had 115 yards total offense for the Mohicans (2-2) over the Pilots (0-4).

SYNOPSIS: Adolfo Seanz returned an interception 35 yards for a touchdown and quarterback Angel Rodriguez threw for two touchdowns to lead the Tigers (1-3) at Lincoln.

SYNOPSIS: Ian Jeter ran for 179 yards and touchdowns of 3, 21 and 97 yards and Marlon Usher scored on a 56-yard touchdown run for the host Dolphins (3-1).

SYNOPSIS: Quarterback Jimmy Ray Brown scored both touchdowns for the Democrats (2-2), one on an 11-yard run and the other on a 65-yard pass to Gary Lord, at Jefferson.

SYNOPSIS: Running back Ivan Curiel rushed for four touchdowns and 147 yards to give the visiting Rams (2-2) the win over Jordan (0-4).

SYNOPSIS: Mitchell Fitzhugh had touchdowns runs of 75 and 86 yards, and rushed for 207 yards to lead the Warriors (2-2) over the Gondoliers (0-4) at home.

SYNOPSIS: In a game that was closer than expected, James Farley rushed for two touchdowns for the Monarchs (4-0) while Irvine’s Jared Flint passed for three touchdowns.

Fountain Valley 17
SYNOPSIS: Greg Cicero led the Friars (4-0) to a come-from-behind victory by completing 12 of 26 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns at Huntington Beach High.

SYNOPSIS: Luis Gomez set a county record by passing for 504 yards in the Colonists (1-3) first victory of the season. He also completed 20 of 32 passes for four touchdowns.

SYNOPSIS: Frank Armstrong caught five passes for 136 and two touchdowns of 49 and 41 yards to help the Vikings (1-3) barely hold on to defeat the Lions (1-3).

SYNOPSIS: Capping a big night on offense and defense, Jason Encinas had two interceptions and rushed for 277 yards and four touchdowns for the Dons (2-2) at Montebello.

SYNOPSIS: Curtis Nettles scored two touchdowns on runs of 70 and 29 yards and rushed for 215 yards for the host Centars (4-0, 1-0) against the Apaches (1-3).

SYNOPSIS: Flanker Bryan Allen scored twice on reverses to lead the Spartans (4-0) against the Golden Eagles (0-4). Dave Lumbattis added a 45-yard field goal at Damien.

SYNOPSIS: James Dawkins rushed for 236 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries to give the Eagles (1-3) the victory over the Seahawks (1-3).

Rowland 28
SYNOPSIS: Billy Brown scored on a 16-yard touchdown run with 5:28 to play to put Rowland (2-1-1) into a tie with host Los Altos (2-1-1) which made four turnovers.
