In other Valley Pac-8 Conference openers:
Monroe 34, Canoga Park 20--Junior running back Vinny Walker rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns in 26 carries to lead Monroe (4-0) at Canoga Park.
Walker scored on runs of 28, eight and one yard. His one-yard run gave the Vikings a 13-point lead with 44 seconds remaining.
Monroe gained 441 yards, 382 on the ground.
Quarterback Brian Hickman completed 12 of 20 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns for Canoga Park (1-3). Hickman and Junior Galvan hooked up on a 65-yard pass play in the first quarter to help the Hunters tie the score, 7-7.
