Arroyo Grande 40, Canyon 34--Steve Lombardi fumbled on the Eagles’ one-yard line with less than two minutes remaining to end the Cowboy hopes at Arroyo Grande.
The Eagles (3-1) had taken the lead earlier in the fourth quarter when Garrett Lintner scored on a 23-yard run.
Lombardi caught 13 passes for 211 yards and scored on a 17-yard pass from Rick Thomas (20 of 28, 298 yards).
Monty McKeon rushed for 132 yards in 15 carries for the Cowboys (2-2) and scored on runs of 25, five and 70 yards.
