Channel Islands High School librarian Barbara Simmons was honored with the California School Library Assn.’s Technology Award.
The award is presented annually to a library media teacher whose activities “reflect the use of technology as a tool for learning and integrate technology into the curriculum,” said Judy Harrison of the association.
Simmons was honored in part for her efforts in designing and renovating the school library into a state-of-the-art media center.
