What: Adopt-A- Subscription Program.
Where: Fullerton Public Library, 353 W. Commonwealth Ave. and Hunt Branch Library, 201 S. Basque Ave.
Mission: Because of budget cuts, the city libraries can’t purchase many publications requested by patrons. So the libraries are looking for people to “adopt a subscription” by paying for magazines delivered to the libraries that are used by the public.

Mission: Volunteers for Red Kettle Drive ring bells and collect donations as well as help with behind-the-scenes warehouse work, packing presents and food for the poor.

Mission: Doctors, dentists and hygienists are needed to provide free medical and dental care, and clerks are needed to operate the free clinic.

Mission: Volunteers help less fortunate county residents prepare their tax returns.

Mission: Volunteers on a hotline try to help prevent mothers from abandoning unwanted children. The program has convinced several parents to give their babies up for adoption.
