Fonville Has Become Dodgers’ Forgotten Man

For years we sat and waited for some sportswriter to pin Fred Claire down on why he stayed with Jose Offerman. Do we now wait for years to find out why he doesn’t even mention Chad Fonville when talking about second base? Chad may not be an all-star, but neither is anyone else the Dodgers are willing to buy or trade for.

The Dodgers should start taking a long look at their minor league scouts. Every “can’t-miss” such as Offerman, Cedeno, Ashley, etc., seems to miss. The minor leaguers we never hear about--Piazza, Karros, Fonville--seem to produce when given the chance.
