SCC’s Wilborn Scores 22 Points in Loss to Aztecs

Brady Trenkle scored a career-high 17 points as San Diego State defeated Southern California College, 98-81, in a men’s basketball game Friday night, stopping the Vanguards’ winning streak at five. San Diego State has won five of its last six.
The host Aztecs (6-2), who are off to their best start in three years, also got 15 points for Jason Richey.
Terence Wilborn scored 22 points for Southern California College. Justin McIntee scored 17 points for the Vanguards (8-3).
In another nonconference men’s basketball game:
Cal Baptist 86, Pacific Christian 72--Axel Margaritha scored 19 points for Pacific Christian (2-14).
In nonconference women’s basketball:
Michigan State 91, UC Irvine 71--Leticia Oseguera had a game-high 27 points and nine rebounds in the loss for UC Irvine. Paula Sanders led Michigan State, which led, 41-32, at the half. Sanders scored 23 points and had 12 rebounds.
