A rivalry game in Simi Valley takes on added importance at 7 tonight, when the Royal and Simi Valley girls’ basketball teams play in a key Marmonte League game on the Pioneers’ homecourt.

Simi Valley (17-7, 9-2 in league play) is in first place in the league, along with Channel Islands and Thousand Oaks, and Royal (13-7, 8-3) is right behind in second place.
