MONTANA STATE (12-11, 6-5) at CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE (8-11, 4-5)
Time--7 p.m.
Northridge point guard Trenton Cross, who began the season as the starter, scored a career-high 24 points and dished out seven assists in Thursday night’s loss to Montana, and starter Lucky Grundy turned the ball over with Northridge down by two in the final seconds, but Coach Bobby Braswell isn’t committing to changing their roles. “Lucky has made plays for us all year,” Braswell said. “They both give us something different.” The Matadors have shot 50% or better in four of their last five games, though they’ve won only two. Montana State handed Northridge its most lopsided conference defeat, 85-68, on Jan. 9. Braswell missed that game because of his brother’s funeral.
