LOS ALAMITOS — Matt Komer’s layup got Los Alamitos into overtime, but the Griffins were stopped there, losing their first-round Division I-AA boys’ basketball game to Long Beach Wilson, 61-51, Friday night.
Komer’s basket with 50 seconds remaining tied the score, 45-45, but Wilson (15-12) then outscored Los Alamitos by 10 in the extra period.
Los Alamitos (23-4) played without senior guard Monroe Moore, who tore a ligament in his right ankle in the previous game against Huntington Beach.
