Ducks, NHL to Sponsor In-Line Hockey Event

Representatives from the NHL and the Mighty Ducks are expected to announce Friday that Anaheim has been selected to host the second In-Line Hockey World Championships.
Twelve teams representing countries from around the world, including the United States, the defending gold medalist, are expected to participate July 17-25.
According to sources, preliminary games will be held at Disney Ice, the Ducks’ training facility. The gold- and bronze-medal games are expected to be held July 25 at the Pond.
The Bullfrogs, scheduled to play the Blades at the Pond at 7:30 p.m. July 25, have been trying to work out a deal for some type of doubleheader, a club source said.
