After No. 2 Santa Margarita (3-1) was upset by No. 8 Edison (3-0) in a nonleague match Tuesday, Santa Margarita might be out to prove something tonight, when it hosts No. 7 Capistrano Valley (3-0) at 5:30.
Santa Margarita is led by last season’s Sea View League co-most valuable player, outside hitter Justin Deblasio, and all-league middle blocker Tim Gerlach.
Capistrano Valley (3-0) is led by outside hitter Ryan Thurlow and middle blocker Beau Rawi, who were All-South Coast League selections last season.
