A Techno-Layover for Sacados

The Sacados, a dance club staple in Latin America and Europe, will perform their brand of hip-hop/techno en espanol Sunday in their only Southern California appearance, at J.C. Fandango in Anaheim.

Known for looping traditional Latin strains with electronic arrangements, the 7-year-old group from Argentina covers such classic Latin rock songs “Mil Horas” by Abuelos de la Nada. They’ve just returned from a European club tour, promoting their sixth BMG Latin CD, “Laberinto de Canciones,” and plan to head home via Mexico. The Sacados--Dario, Analia and Gladys--sold more than 100,000 copies of their previous album, “Asunto Chino.” Tickets are $15.

Lest our dance shoes have time to stiffen, the club on Friday will present Tito Rojas. Dubbed the “gallo salsero,” or the salsa rooster, the Puerto Rican tropical singer-composer celebrated his 25th anniversary as a performer last year. He has recorded a dozen albums with such salsa groups as Orquestra de Luisito Ayala y La Puerto Rican Power. In New York City, his largest U.S. fan base, he tops the salsa playlists.

His fifth solo release on Miami’s MP Records, “Por Derecho Propio,” is the focus of the tenor’s current club tour. Tickets are $25.

HOME-GROWN SOUNDS: After a shaky start, promoter Miguel Castellanos has drawn Orange Coutny’s top bands, and some of their L.A. cousins, to Club 369 on Sunday nights. This Sunday, it’s an all-Orange County lineup: Octubre, Prision and Saliva. But probably the best bill yet is scheduled for June 13, with Viva Malpache, Orange County’s alternative rockeros Theta and Mountain King. Tickets are $6.
