Iraq Warned Against Blocking Inspections

From Times Wire Reports

The Security Council warned Iraq against endangering U.N. flight crews after Iraqi authorities reportedly blocked U.N. inspectors from checking suspected weapons sites. The council also issued a reminder that U.N. resolutions require Baghdad to allow the inspectors to search for banned weapons anywhere in Iraq. The council statement followed incidents last week in which Iraqi officials allegedly interfered with U.N. helicopter flights and in which inspectors claimed that they were barred from entering three suspected weapons storage sites.
